If Brainrot isn't displaying your screen time data (or the numbers look wrong), work through these checks in order.
1. Make sure Screen Time is enabled
Go to Settings > Screen Time on your iPhone. If it says "Turn On Screen Time," tap it to enable. Brainrot can't read data that iOS isn't collecting.
2. Check that App & Website Activity is on
Inside Screen Time settings, make sure App & Website Activity is turned on. If this was recently enabled, it may take up to 24 hours for data to start appearing.
3. Verify Brainrot has permission
Brainrot needs the "Family Controls" or Screen Time authorization to read your data. If you denied this on first launch:
- Delete and reinstall Brainrot from the App Store
- When prompted, tap Allow for Screen Time access
4. Restart the app
Force-close Brainrot (swipe up from the app switcher) and reopen it. Sometimes the data connection needs a fresh start.
5. Restart your iPhone
A full device restart can resolve issues with Apple's Screen Time framework not syncing properly.
6. Check for iOS updates
Some Screen Time bugs are fixed in iOS updates. Go to Settings > General > Software Update and install any available updates.
